I love getting together with my family for the holidays, and Thanksgiving is definitely my favorite! Just thinking of all the awesome food.. yum! This year, though, I couldn't make it down for actual Thanksgiving Day. So, I got to celebrate a little early by tagging it onto my San Antonio trip.

I took a short Southwest Airlines hop up to Dallas. My Pop picked me up from the airport and we headed over to his house to watch the end of a Cowboys game. My Uncle, Aunt, cousins, and Mom came over too. We ate pizza, watched another game, and just enjoyed being with each other.

I love spending time with my family, eating good food, playing games, and catching up on life. There's nothing that I love more than quality time. It's definitely my top love language! Since I've moved away from Texas, these moments are what I cherish most. I can't always make it to big events like dances or school plays, and I'm not always in on the inside jokes. It's tough being so far apart, but it makes the time I do get in-person even more special! I love you, Texas fam! I'll see you again soon. :)

The photos above are from a day I spent with my mom and her mom, Honey. Mom had been mentioning for the past couple weeks that she wanted to take me to a really cool Master Plan Community modeled after Croatia out in McKinney, Texas. There weren't that many photos online and she kept trying to describe it to me, but it's one of those places you just have to go see for yourself. A Master Plan Community is acres and acres of houses, apartments, shops, and even business buildings all built around the same theme. This one sits right next to a lake, has cobblestone streets, a few themed restaurants, and is just plain gorgeous!

We first stopped for coffee at Starwood Cafe and then wandered around the streets looking at all the pretty architecture, snapping some photos, and taking it all in. The entire community feels like a step back in time and into Europe! It's the perfect spot for senior pictures and other photo ops. Have you ever been here or to a community like this one? I'd love to hear about it in the comments below!

I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving and holiday season! I'll see you again in two weeks and talking about turning your mistakes into something beautiful, a lesson learned through painting!

Thanks for stopping by!
