#24HRSIN... SEATTLE!

Happy Wednesday y'all! Just got back from a trip to Texas so I've gotta throw in my Texas slang and say "Ya'll" right off the bat! 😉 The other week Jordan and I got to go to Seattle, Washington. Here are some really fun things we did that you could fit into 24HRS. Introducing the first of many in a series called "24HRS IN..." and this time we're discovering SEATTLE!

Let's start at 8am, because I hope you are sleeping in until then!

8:00 AM Get your booty up and at 'em. Your first stop is Pike's Place Market! Get in line at the Original Starbucks and grab your favorite drink, but don't get breakfast. Piroshky Piroshky is where you want to grab a delicious pastry or two! Jordan and I loved the Bacon Jalapeño one. 😋 There's a nice little alley with tables behind Piroshky Piroshky or take your treats across the street to sit and look out at the water front!

9:00 AM - 12:00 AM Wander the Market for the next couple of hours. Vendors will be just opening their shops and it's the perfect time of day to see all the goods without a big crowd. You can catch a fish in the Fish Market or add your ABC Gum to the Gum Wall. You can taste local foods like chocolate covered cherries or get in line for famous Clam Chowder. It's a long line, so sip on some of Rachel's Ginger Beer while you wait!

12:00 PM There are so many delicious places to grab food in Seattle! Along Pike Place Market we ate at Bavarian Meats and both got Reubin Sandwiches. We were so hungry from walking around so much (and we had flown in that morning) and these hearty meals were perfect for us!

1:00 PM - 3:00 PM Next stop? MoPop! Aka The Museum of Pop Culture. You can honestly spend an entire afternoon in here - we did! There are music rooms where you can jam on your favorite instruments or a game room where you can play video games that are the strangest/coolest I've ever seen. When we were there, there was also a film section which we aren't sure is always there. It had a Horror section, Fantasy section, and Scifi section. Also there was a Marvel Exhibit while we were there, which cost extra to go through, but was totally worth it!

3:00 PM - 6:00 PM If you're near the MoPop, you're also near The Space Needle! It's the best place to get a view of the entire city and surrounding area. Jordan and I did not do this because it was really smoky when we visited Seattle due to forest fires nearby, but it's something that we've heard you've got to do if the air is clear!

6:00 PM - 8:00 PM For dinner, take a quick cab ride to Optimism Brewery. We had such a good experience there, you might say it was optomistic (boo bad joke!). This brewery was bumpin' and there were lots of dogs hanging out inside. So if you're in need of a puppy-fix this is your spot! It was bright and cheerful inside and was also a great place for people watching. Jordan and I each grabbed a beer and some food from the food trucks outside and spent a few hours chatting and relaxing at the end of a big day.

8:00 PM Start the journey back home, wind down, and get some sleep. You deserve it!

BONUS! One of our days in Seattle, we spent the afternoon on Bainbridge Island. Just catch a ferry over there for $8 per person and spend the afternoon moseying in and out of shops. Check out Bainbridge Brewery while you're over there and get dinner at Isla Bonita (the best tex-mex in town).
